Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
Sipply (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Sipply mobile application (the “App”) and the website at sipplyapp.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App or our website, you agree to this policy.
Sipply is intended for users of legal drinking age.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. We use a secure authentication provider to manage sign-in credentials; your password is stored in hashed form and is not accessible to us in plain text.
Membership & subscription information
We store your membership tier and status. If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and related identifiers from Apple, but we do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Activity information
When a participating venue (“SippSpot”) scans your membership QR code, we record the scan (including the venue, time, and result) to operate the membership program, enforce plan limits, and provide venues with analytics.
Saved favorites
If you save SippSpots to your favorites list, we store those selections associated with your account so your list is available across your devices.
Reviews
If you rate a SippSpot, we store your rating associated with your account.
Location information
The App may use your device location, with your permission, to show nearby SippSpots and their distance from you. This location is processed on your device only. We do not transmit or store your location on our servers.
Launch notifications (website)
If you sign up on our website to be notified when Sipply launches, we collect your email address and the date you signed up.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and membership;
- Display your digital membership card and QR code;
- Apply discounts and enforce plan scan limits;
- Save and display your favorite SippSpots;
- Show nearby SippSpots and distances;
- Provide venues with analytics about their own activity (see Section 3);
- Communicate with you about your account, including launch updates you signed up for;
- Maintain the security and integrity of the service.
3. Information shared with venues (SippSpots)
When you visit a participating SippSpot and your membership QR code is scanned there, that venue can see information related to your visits to that venue, including your name, membership tier, and how frequently you have visited. This appears in the venue’s analytics dashboard (for example, in a “Top Sippsters” list). Venues can only see activity that occurred at their own location. If you prefer not to share this information, you can choose not to have your code scanned at that venue.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With participating venues, as described in Section 3;
- With service providers who help us operate the App (such as our hosting and authentication provider), under obligations to protect your information;
- With Apple, for subscription processing; and
- When required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
5. Your choices and rights
Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from the App (Profile → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes your personal profile information. Note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription; manage subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.
Location permission
You can grant or revoke location access at any time in your device’s Settings. The App remains usable without location access.
Access and correction
You may update your account information in the App or contact us for assistance.
6. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we are required to retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. Aggregate or de-identified activity data may be retained to support venue analytics.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
Sipply is intended for users of legal drinking age and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your information, contact us at admin@sipplyapp.com.
